My sister-in-law wanted to DIY a cat tower and I volunteered to help.
Here’s how it turned out.
We used 1/8″ MDF in multiple layers as a bendable material to staple the carpet to for the top of the tower. It split in some areas but the multiple layers helped keep it rigid. For good measure, we added some angle brackets to brace the legs to make sure that play time wouldn’t turn into a disaster. The brackets were covered by the carpet so it’s impossible to tell where they are.
Overall, it was a fun project and turned out great.
